SCREAMFEST HORROR FILM FESTIVAL PROMO TRAILER (2016) – COMMISSION

An animated journey through the film genres of sci-fi & horror, this promo is inspired by the animation of Lotte Reiniger using simple silhouettes layered over brightly colored backgrounds. The characters were designed as paper cutouts to explore movement and puppetry, then final designs were scanned and manipulated digitally. The promo includes conceptual art, character designs and handpainted frames by JSMorrisArt. Made in collaboration with Patrick J. Doody (of SpaceZombieFilms) and editor/graphic artist Rowan Heap. Music composed by Jeff Cardoni.
