A hand painted portrait in acrylics on canvas (9in x 12in) of Kurt Russell as "Mac" from John Carpenter's movie "The Thing" created in honor of the 35 year anniversary of the film's release.  The close-ups show the rich mixture of blue, red and green hues and reveal the layers of paint in the foreground which add texture and depth to the painting.
